— sound familiar?
Working harder used to fix everything. Now it's the thing wearing you out.
You're productive and capable at work. You hold it together for your patients, your students, your clients. Then you walk in the front door and there's nothing left. And the worst part? You blame yourself for it.
-You skip meals, sleep, and rest because everyone else's needs come first
-You snap at your family, then lie awake feeling guilty about it
-You've tried pushing through, and you're starting to wonder what's wrong with you
Nothing is wrong with you. Your nervous system has been trying to protect you. It just needs new information.
.
— the good news
Your brain got you here. It can get you out, too.
The patterns that made you successful (determination, high standards, never giving up, long hours, taking care of everyone) are the same patterns driving your burnout.
Once you understand what your nervous system is doing and is behind your behavior, you can change it.
Understand your stress instead of fighting it
Understand how your nervous system actually works, starting on day one. When you finally see what's happening inside your body, the shame disappears. With curiosity and intention, you to naturally build healthier new habits that stick.
Retrain your nervous system, not just your schedule
Using neuroplasticity and nervous system updating, we find the underlying triggers of your stress. Then replace autopilot reaction with intentional response. Not a new to-do list.
Tools that stick.
Get yourself back, at work and at home
You take your brain with you everywhere you go. When you learn to regulate, your energy, patience, and presence improve at work and come home with you. This is a win for those at work, at home and especially, you.
— I've been there
I know what it's like to give everything to everyone and have nothing left for you.
I'm a registered nurse, a mom, and someone who knows what it's like to hold it together all day and fall apart in private. More than two decades in healthcare taught me how to care for everyone else.
Nobody taught me how to care for my own nervous system and manage my stress while doing it.
I hit the wall like so many high achievers do: worn down, snapping at my family, wondering why pushing harder wasn't working anymore. Learning the science behind my stress changed everything.
Now, as a Certified Life Coach, burnout recovery coach and emotional resilience educator, I take the science of the nervous system and turn it into something simple enough to use on your worst day. I work one-on-one with individuals and bring workshops to hospitals, clinics, and teams.
You learned about the nervous system in school. Let me show you how to manage your own. Work differently, not harder.
It's not a slogan. It's what got me my life back.

God told me that I wasn't learning everything about how to manage my brain and nervous system only for myself.
He told me to share what I was learning with the world.
New episodes every Monday. Short, practical, and science-backed. Take a listen and learn along with me.

Burnout is a state of mental, emotional and physical exhaustion caused by excessive and chronic stress. It can happen to anyone, but most often to those who are high achievers, who value success and never give up. Those qualities are often paired with being self-critical, perfectionistic, and base value on performance.
Guess what? The deep rooted patterns in your brain and nervous system that brought you the success you now have, are also the cause of your burnout.

This work sticks
"This isn't just information that sounds good in the moment. This work actually sticks. I can pause, be curious about what I'm feeling, and not let my emotions take over or affect other people." Dr. Reibe, vetrinarian

Changed my patterns
"I was able to look at my beliefs about myself and realize that most of them were not true. It has been freeing to shed old thoughts and habits for new ones that work for me." Colleen, RN

My relationships are better
"We talked about what's within our control and what isn't. Deciphering between the two has really helped me cope with very difficult relationships. Mona helped me to help myself." Jennie, mom and business owner

So many things have improved
"My whole life has changed and its never been better. I understand that physiology has been hijacking my behavior for decades. Work, home, self esteem and marriage have never been better. - Travis, audiology clinic

—Here's the truth
You don't have to drown to prove you care.
I know you want to feel like yourself again. Present with your family, energized at work, and proud of the life you've built instead of exhausted by it.
To get there, you need real tools for your brain and nervous system, not another reminder to practice self-care. The challenge is that no one taught you how to manage your own stress response. You were trained to care for everyone else. So you push harder, it keeps not working, and you end up feeling guilty, depleted, and quietly wondering if something is wrong with you.
I believe burnout is not a character flaw. It's physiology.
And I deeply understand what it costs to hold it together all day and fall apart in private, because I've lived it as a nurse and coached my clients through it. As an RN, Certified Life Coach, burnout recovery coach and emotional resiliency educator, I'll guide you through understanding your nervous system, retraining the patterns that keep you stuck, and building a way of working and living you can actually sustain. You can't walk through water without getting wet. Maybe you're wondering...
Burnout coaching is one-on-one support that helps you understand why you're exhausted and what to do about it. It's not therapy and it's not a pep talk. It's practical, forward-looking work focused on your nervous system, your thought patterns, and how you respond to stress. You leave with tools you can use on your next shift, not just insight that fades by Monday.
Therapy often looks backward to heal past wounds and treat mental health conditions. Coaching looks forward: where are you now, where do you want to be, and what's in the way. Many of my clients do both, and they complement each other well. If at any point I think you'd be better served by a therapist or physician, I'll tell you. That's part of taking care of you.
Tired gets better with rest. Burnout doesn't. If you've taken a vacation and come back just as depleted, if you've lost the compassion you used to feel for patients or people in general, if you're doubting whether you're any good at a job you used to be great at, that's burnout. It has three signatures: exhaustion, cynicism or detachment, and feeling less effective than you know you are. If you're nodding along, you're in the right place.
Because burnout lives in your body, not just your calendar. Your nervous system decides whether you feel safe or threatened, and chronic stress trains it to stay on high alert. That's why "just rest more" doesn't work. You can't relax your way out of a system that thinks it's protecting you. Using neuroscience and Polyvagal Theory, we retrain that system so calm becomes available again. It's the difference between managing symptoms and changing the pattern.
Your nervous system has three main gears: connected and calm, mobilized (fight or flight), and shut down (freeze). Stress shifts you out of the calm gear, and chronic stress can leave you stuck in the other two. Polyvagal Theory explains how that happens and, more importantly, how to shift back. Once you can recognize which gear you're in, you can do something about it.
Isn't that so cool?.
No. Most of my clients stay in the careers they love. The goal isn't to escape your work, it's to change your relationship with stress so the work stops costing you your health and your family. Some people do decide to make a change, and that's okay too. But it's a choice you make from a regulated place, not a desperate one.
Most people notice a shift in the first few sessions, once they understand what their nervous system is doing. Lasting change, the kind that holds up during a 12-hour shift or a rough week at home, typically takes a few months of consistent work. That's why my core program is several sessions. It's long enough to rewire a pattern, not just learn about it.
We talk. You tell me what's going on and what you've already tried. I ask questions, listen, and share what I'm noticing. If it seems like a fit, I'll walk you through the options. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too and point you somewhere better. No pressure, no script.
Yes. Sessions are virtual, I have flexible hours, and everything we do is designed to fit into a real life with an unpredictable schedule. I was a nurse. I know what "I'll try to squeeze it in" actually means.
Absolutely. Burnout doesn't check your job title. I work with teachers, therapists, veterinary professionals, leaders, and parents, anyone who's a high achiever in a helping role and running on empty.
Yes. I bring workshops to hospitals, dental practices, veterinary clinics, and other teams. Learn more about team workshops here.
